Stannington Chess Club will be 16 years old in January 2012. Over the years the Club has grown into one of the areas largest chess clubs. We have 3 teams playing in the Sheffield and District League. The league standard is high, and we are always looking out for top graded players, however, Stannington still finds time to accommodate those players who just want to learn more about the game and enjoy the social aspect of the club.
